Earl Grey Party which known as EGP for most of the online shoppers was founded by Furry. EGP was started by holding preorders for unique shoes imported from Seoul on a livejournal platform. The overwhelming response from their strong supporting customers opened up doors for EGP to bring in more fabulous fashion apparels, bags and accessories. In Novemeber 2009, EGP took a bold step of expansion to move to the current site. 2010 marks the starts of EGP's collection launches. At Earl Grey Party, they have been striving to satisfy the fashion needs and hunts of their beloved customers.

I sent in an Order form for their Diamond-cut Dress on 9 September and received an automatic invoice instantly along with new created account information on EGP Platform in my email. The invoice is well-designed, clear and simple. The account serves to update their customer (which is me!). As the promo code given by the Seventeen Magazine wasn't working on their site, I emailed them about it. They replied promptly. It was rather impressive. Their polite and efficient service put a smile on my face.

However, this good customer service did not last long. I made my payment on 10 September via I-banking and emailed them the transaction details. No update received from EGP after two days. I was quite disappointed as they replied me fast previously. I sent in another email on the 13 September. They asked for my transaction details again on the same day. On the 14th, I emailed them again to check if they had verified my payment. Only on the 15th, they sent me an email to tell me that they have verified. In total, they used five working days just to verify my payment. I was expecting a shorter time.

On 18 September, I received an email from EGP to apologise for the delay as well as notify me that they mailed out the dress. They used three working days to mail out my items. Too long. I received my dress on 20 September.

A simple and yet interesting online shop totally encourages one to shop more happily. Vice versa, dull and messy online shop is a major turn off for many online shoppers. EGP put in effort in web design to ensure that every customer can shop heartily. Obviously attractive with those moving banners which are changed consistently by EGP to suit their latest collection, together with those mini banners and little description for each section. EGP also included their social platforms such as Formspring, Twitter and Facebook to keep in contact with their customers easily.


Fashion apparels are arranged neatly to allow their customers to shop easily. You don't have to go through everything just to look for an item that you want. For example: If you are looking for a top, you just have to click on 'tops' and you can start to view them. At one glance, you will know what items you are interested in, making things to be more convenience. Something attracted you, you can learn more about the items by clicking on the respective photos. Auto zoom in when you hover over the photos. Small details can be clearly seen. Not only that, at least four photos will be on the site. Without saying, the photos are well taken. Just that they always use plain background, lacking of a bit of creative.

Price VS Quality: ♥♥♥♥

The dress costs SGD28 inclusive of normal postage. The Satin material is awesome, and definitely it does not look cheap, like those you bought from retail shop, prices over $35. It's worth your money spent. The size is true, the fit is good and the workmanship is excellent. No extra thread popping out of nowhere. There is a zip at the side of the dress keeping it to be worn easily.
