If you are reading this blog post, this means you like/love to shop online. And if you read my blog frequently, you will know how much I shop online. The reasons I love to shop online so much is the adrenaline rush in me when I camp for the item I really love and the pleasant feeling of receiving them in my mailbox. Okay, that sounds sick. Maybe they should invent some long long weird weird name for this addiction so I can go around and tell people, "I am sick. I am having this augnvshghgy disease." And they will be so worry about me, because they don't understand what disease I am suffering. *laughs*

Hence being a shopaholic, I am here to share some good tips with you on how to shop online smartly. I did a presentation about it for my academic actually. And my classmates said those are good tips so I decided to share it here. Don't miss them out.

Before shopping:

Take down your favourite measurement.
This would be the best thing you do it for yourself because you need it everytime. I shall give you an example to define the word "favourite".  I always love my top to be slightly longer so I can tuck it in and it will looks nice on me. Still need to depend on what kinds of top I am buying. My body is about 20.5", but i noted it down as 26.5". I gave 15cm allowance. And that is my favourite length for a top. I will compare it against the given measurements.

Question: What measurements do I need to take down?
Your shoulders width, your favourite length of your body, your waist (for highwaisted short), your mid-waist (midwaisted short), and your favourite length for short.

During shopping:

It is always very important to look at the measurements and materials.
Spot something you like? Learn more about it before putting your money on it. First, you must check their measurements. "Are they too long, too short, too big, too small or just right for you?" Especially shorts; they come in sizes. But normally tops come in one size. Don't buy if you cannot wear them no matter how much you love them. Another thing to note is the material. Different materials can bring out different feelings. It is very essential to know which material you like the most on different apparels. For example: I love my skater skirt in jersery material. I prefer my shirt to be chiffon instead of polyester.

Choose Registered Postage to prevent your darlings went into others' hug.
Although Registered Postage is more expensive compared to Normal Postage, but it is totally worth your money because it takes lesser time to reach you, and it guarantees your darlings come in perfect condition and into your hug. Just merely $1.74 more.

Reduce implusive buying.
Everthing looks awesome online on a pretty model. Think twice again. Will I wear this? Suits my style? Don't buy them because it is the latest fashion or it looks good on the model. You must love it, and you know you will wear them. The best is you know how to go with it already.

Never try buying things that you never try before.
I always have sudden urge to buy dresses. So when I saw a pretty dress, I can't resist buying it despite knowing it might not look well on me. This is when window shopping comes handy. Try out different kinds of dresses and see which types of dresses suit you the most and after that look for a similar design online.

After shopping:

Take note how long they took to reply your email.
If they took too long, then forget it. They have no sincerity in selling so why bother. Send them an email to remind them how lousy their services are, and never shop with them anymore. I dislike those well known online shops' owner who thinks she is superior, and customers are bullshit. Her mentality is like "I am going to lose some customers only if I don't reply them. I've nothing to lose. My online shop is still here surviving. If you are keen, send me more emails and when I am happy I will reply." They don't even reply email when you have enquiry. All they want is your money. Lousy services keep no one. And even you love their things so much, ask your friends to buy it for you. *laughs*

I will end the post here. These are some tips I learn after shopping for so long online. Hope this benefits you in different ways.
